Volunteer at Care Net
We are able to offer free help because people in our communities care. There are many volunteer opportunities available. As an organization seeking to serve our city in the name of Jesus Christ, Care Net requires all volunteers to sign an agreement with our statement of faith, statement of principle, and moral conduct code, as well as agree to a back ground check, provide character references and attend a 30 hour training course. We suggest that volunteers contribute $35 to pay forward the cost of training materials. Contact us on how to volunteer.
January 19, 2017 Care Net has an immediate full or part-time position available to perform limited obstetric ultrasound. Applicant must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or a Registered Nurse who is certified in limited obstetric ultrasound. The qualified candidate would be a dedicated Christian with a firm pro-life belief. This is a paid position. Interested individuals may send us their resume.

Counseling Both peer and professional
Peer counselors come from all walks of life and professions. They are trained to provide intake interviews, offer options, and assist our clients in selecting the Care Net services that best suit their needs. Professional Counselors must be licensed to provide therapy in NM. Their services need to be offered pro-bono to our clients. Qualified professional counselors must meet all volunteer requirements. Post Abortion peer counselors take the regular volunteer training course, become adept at peer counseling. They must pass a 30 Hour training for leading peer support groups.
There are many opportunities to help with office duties. These may be occasional or regular. Receptionists, filing clerks, and data entry positions require a weekly commitment at a regular time. Occasional volunteers help with mailing, cleaning, copying, and miscellaneous chores.
Sexual Integrity program teachers for public schools should have a degree in education or related field. The curriculum that we use is designed for public schools. There is also a program designed for use in churches and Christian settings. Parenting instructors come from every walk of life and have experience parenting. These instructors share our one on one parenting and life skills program with clients and their families.
Registered NursesLicensed in NM. Nurses perform pregnancy tests, urine screening, take medical histories, do nurse consults, connect clients to doctors and assist with ultrasound. Licensed Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS)perform early OB ultrasound scans. Medical DoctorsLicensed in NM for obstetrical care, qualified to read Ultrasounds in either first or second trimesters. Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners who are qualified for early OB ultrasound scans.
Special Projects or Committees
Event promotion or committeeswe need people willing to help with graphic arts, publications, phone calling, organization, securing donated items, deliveries and a wide assortment of tasks. Annual events are the Fundraising Banquet, the Walk For Life, Golf 4 Life, and the Purity Ball/Extreme Challenge. Other events are fairs, church booths, raffles, and conferences. Committees include the prayer team and an assortment of Board advisory committees.
A person with passion to bring the ministry of Care Net to their church is the perfect go between for their church and the activities of Care Net. We would like to have a Care Net Liaison in every church.
Material Assistance Volunteers
Help organize and sort donated items for the benefit of clients. If you like baby clothing this is for you. Prepare layette gifts for clients. At some centers these volunteers greet clients, serve meals, and help clients shop. On occasion our centers need a face lift and we need groups or individuals with the skills to repair or renovate our facilities.
