The Care Net Pregnancy Center of Albuquerque is a non-profit charity comprised of a group of local pregnancy resource centers in the Albuquerque metro area. We are affiliated with the national network of Care Net Pregnancy Centers. Our centers offer free and confidential services for women and girls in a safe and compassionate setting. From the initial pregnancy test and early limited medical care, throughout pregnancy and far beyond, Care Net offers a varied menu of free services for the whole family. Little or no waiting time is required. Appointments can be made for the same day or the next working day. There are no eligibility requirements and anyone is welcome. Send an appointment request here.

Pregnancy options consist of three choices: parenting, placing a child for adoption or elective termination (abortion). Each of these options have a subset of choices. Each choice has both short and lifelong consequences. It is important that everyone be fully aware of these consequences before making a decision. No one should be hurried, coerced, pressured or forced into a pregnancy decision. It is important to know that several studies have shown over 80% of women electing abortion have stated that they were coerced or pressured into that decision. This pressure usually came from someone who financially benefited from the termination of the pregnancy. Since Care Net does not want to profit from pregnancy decisions, we offer all of our pregnancy related services free of charge.

Care Net Pregnancy Center of Albuquerque is an interdenominational faith based (Christian), non-profit, 501 (c) 3 organization, with a local board of directors, a paid supervisory staff, and hundreds of volunteers. We are locally funded by individual and community donations. Our centers do not use government funding. All of the professional and medical staff/volunteers are licensed in NM for the services which they provide. Everyone working or volunteering at Care Net signs a code of moral conduct and statement of faith. We have centers in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, Moriarty and a Medical Mobile Unit which travels the Albuquerque area.

Center Statistics:
  • Annually Care Net sees between 5,000 and 6,000 clients.
  • Our clients typically range in age from 14 to 45 and come from every economic and social sector.
  • We perform approximately 1,000 pregnancy tests, 500 ultrasounds, and hundreds of STD tests every year.
  • Care Net gives away thousands of diapers and baby supplies to parents in our Earn While You Learn Education program.
  • The Creating Positive Relations program teaches healthy behaviors to mid and high school students.
  • Women and men struggling with an abortion decision in their past are offered either professional or peer counseling.
  • Clients often turn to Care Net for spiritual help and counseling. Our volunteers and staff seek to help these men and women see themselves the way that God views them. All such counseling is based on Biblical teaching of the gospel and love of Jesus Christ.
  • NM Statistics:
  • NM has consistently ranked among the states with the highest teen pregnancy and teen birth rates. These rates have been dropping, following the national trends. The 2015 NM Kids Count profile shows that in spite of trending down for years, there were 2,959 teen births in NM during 2013.
  • Abortion rates in NM have also been dropping. In 2013 there were 3,408 abortions performed on New Mexican women. In 2008 there were nearly 6,000 abortions.
  • Infant adoption is a viable option which generally has healthy outcomes for children and for the biological mother. Few women choose this option in spite of the fact that there is significant adoption support for women who choose a loving family to parent their child.
  • Over 95% of our clients choose to parent their child. Care Net offers ongoing support and training until their child is three. For those choosing to parent, our goal is to help them be the best parents they can be.
